The Annual Ulafu Football Tournament is a grassroots sports event organised by the Ulafu community since 2017.
Every year, hundreds of young people gather to play, learn, and grow. The tournament promotes discipline, teamwork, and opportunity while tackling social issues such as youth unemployment, drug abuse, and early pregnancies. It has united the people of Siaya County through sport, talent, and purpose
The tournament began as a community football event and has evolved into a platform for nurturing young athletes, reducing crime, promoting gender equality, and creating green livelihoods.
Over the years, this initiative has grown into one of the most respected community-led sports events in Siaya County, with strong support from schools, local government, NGOs, and well-wishers.

Collaboration and mentorship
We involve young people in planting trees and caring for small nurseries. These activities promote environmental responsibility and foster long-term awareness of climate action.
Players take part in sessions that focus on leadership, discipline, communication, and decision-making. These conversations give them tools to navigate life with confidence.
Girls receive sanitary pads to ensure they can participate in both the tournament and school without interruption. This promotes dignity, equality, and full inclusion
We connect talented youths to scholarships and provide mentorship that supports their academic and sporting futures.
